Mobilisation

Mobilization is a passive, gentle and often swaying motion of a joint or part of the spinal column with the aim of slowly and gradually increasing the range of motion. Mobilization techniques can be applied by a physiotherapist and manual therapist. Examples of mobilization techniques are Mulligan and McKenzie.
